Those of you who are into commercial narrative non-fiction projects, let me hear from you via email or through my guestbook
on the bottom of the home page of this site.
My latest book is now available at all of the major bookstores online. Soon it will be shelved in their brick and
mortar outlets. I recently conducted the beginning of a regional booksigning tour with Barnes & Noble outlets in Harvey,
Lafayette, Metairie, & Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Lafayette went so well they invited me back on Saturday, June 24. I will
be at the Metaire, LA Barnes & Noble on Saturday, June 17 (Father's Day weekend)At a local bookstore (Cover to Cover, Morgan
City), over the Memorial Day weekend, we actually sold out of books and we will return there on Labor Day weekend; and at
a recent writer's conference, over a dozen books were sold and signed. Other successful signings have occurred at speaking
engagements at Kiwanis Clubs to include a recent invitation by a local university to speak to their third world politics class.
On June 5, I was interviewed by KPEL radio 105.1 FM about the subject of America's relationship with the Middle Kingdom and
related topics covered in the book. Although I missed the airing of it, I was told it went great.
Interested readers can purchase the book at hundreds of Barnes & Noble outlets throughout the country as well as find copies
on the shelves locally in Houma, Louisiana at the Bent Page bookstore and Cover to Cover in Morgan City. Several B. Dalton
stores are also carrying it throughout the nation.
The publishing experience can definitely be a rodeo but it is certainly worth it, once you make the commitment.
Like Thoreau, I like writing for the shear pleasure it brings me. Unlike Thoreau, however, I'm not interested in doing
it for nothing. Consumate writers like myself need the adequate remuneration to fund the time they wish to pursue
their comprehensive literary passions. Writing full time is the ultimate requirement for such people.
For all you commercial narrative non-fiction writers who appreciate the subject of political economy, check out my latest
work below, now available.
